Your Responsibilities
Regular maintenance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) equipment is a necessary and extremely critical part of ensuring your Duty of Care for the well-being of your employees and contractors.
Often equipment is in confined areas with limited space or requires work to be carried out at height as machinery and plant may be located on roof tops.
The Work Health and Safety Act 2011 states: "A person conducting a business or undertaking must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the health and safety of other persons is not put at risk from work carried out as part of the conduct of the business or undertaking."
With the introduction in many states of new Workplace Manslaughter Laws there has never been more importance placed on providing safe and compliant access to these areas.
Read our article for more information on your responsibilities according to the Public Health & Wellbeing Regulations 2019.
Your Requirements
Access to HVAC equipment needs to be provided by simple to use systems which give workers the peace of mind that any hazards or risks are mitigated. Personnel who are performing HVAC maintenance must be able do so easily and safely without having to use equipment that requires advanced user training. This access is most commonly provided by stairs, elevated and suspended walkways and access platforms.
There have been many situations where emergency maintenance work has to be carried out only to experience frustrating time delays, due to problems accessing the machinery. Additionally issues can arise when the systems that have been installed are ineffective or worse still, dangerously non-compliant.
Access to roofs and confined spaces for installation can prove difficult. If buildings are in inner city areas, the only way to access the machinery may often be via lifts. Modular systems that are lightweight and easily transportable offer the ability to get the components into the desired location quickly and easily ready for assembly.
Your Solution
KOMBI Elevated and Suspended Walkways, Access Platforms and Stairs offer the perfect solution.
So simple to install, KOMBI® Modular Access Systems do not require specialist skills or tools and can be assembled in half the time of traditional walkway, platform and stair access systems.

Delivered flat packed to site, KOMBI can be easily adjusted using the patented KOMBI T-Bolt.
